Question:
Business Owner

I have registered some Domain Names such as:
USCHINAVENURES.com. How would I find parties that may be interested in leasing or purchasing a Domain Name?
[By Jeff Folland   2008-11-22]

Answer:

Hi Jeff, Thank you for posting.

There are many online platforms for domain transfer, here is a few chinese domain transfer websites, you might be interested to check out:

www.domaindeal.cn/

www.domainpricing.com

www.domain.cn

Also if your domain is extremely exclusive and unique, I think buyer will come to you for an offer, they will either do a whois to find your contact detail or find contact detail on your website, so make sure you didn't set domain privacy protection on or you have posted your contact details on the website.

I have a few friends recently quitting from domain registration and transfer business. The competition is very tough.

Question:
Wiring Money out of China - Corporation

Hello,

I was reading on your website about how to get money out of China. However, I am still wondering how to get money out through my Chinese corporation. I have to wire about 500,000 RMB this year and maybe over 2,000,000 RMB in the future.

Is there any way to wire the funds out from my Chinese corporation to my US corporation?

Please help! Thanks,

Nate

Answer:

Hi Nate, thanks for posting.

Why not sign a service contract with your US corporation, and send the 500,000RMB as payment of contract to them, that should be very easy to operate.

Besides, you can send out the money as profit, the following paper work need to be prepared:

1) Capital verification report issued by cerified public accountant firm, as well as audit report of profit, divident and  bonusesin forex

2) profit distribution plan issued by board of director

3) tax receipt and tax clearance certificate(by local tax Bureau)

4) Registration Certificate of foreign exchange.

Hope this helps.

Question:
realtor

Hello Steven: This may be off topic but I cannot find an answer anywhere. My daughter has a new teaching job at an international school in Dalian. I have a computer for her that I bought in Canada. She needs it for her teaching but it seems Chinese customs will only allow something worth 1000 yuan into the country. This information I recieved from Canada Post personally, and on some other courrier websites.

What do I need to do to solve this problem? Thank you very much for taking the time to help me and my daughter .

Sincerely,

Ted Watson

Answer:

Hi Ted, Thanks for posting and sorry for late reply, we have put your question to the China customs and just got the reply.

You are allowed to post item with value more than 1000RMB, but you will be taxed, for item valued less than 1000RMB, then it will be tax free.

The tax rate for computer is 20%, that means you have to pay 20% tax for the value more than 1000RMB. Say if your computer worth 2000RMB, then you have to pay the extra value(1000RMB)x20%=200RMB Tax.

You can underdeclare the value of the item, but if the customs think you intentionally underdeclare the value, they will ask you to re-declare the value and pay tax.

Hope that helps.

Question:
Director

Hi Steven,
I have been buying products from China for many years now and its time to move to China and step the business up a gear. I want to move to the Canton area, as I have alot of suppliers located in this area.
Can you advise me the most direct and effecient way to obtain residency or a year long visa that I can update annually?
I have a Chinese company registerd in HongKong and trading from a Guangzhou Office. Will this help me in anyway?
Regards,
Graham
